Guests invited to the Valentine’s evening at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre viewed the outfits by artist Mateusz Grobelny.
The “Lace War” collection is inspired by warrior figures. Eleven models presented outfits dominated by bucklers, capes and shoulder guards. Elements created to protect men from injury in battle adorn delicate, feminine bodies in Mateusz’s collection. There were corset-armours, chainmail-bracelets, strap-shoulders and soldier’s cape-dresses. A highly theatrical collection, with rich and intriguing outfits. They drew attention through their combination of various materials, such as leather, canvas, wood and metal. The warrior models were very popular with the women and men gathered at the centre.
