The introduction of the new regulations has prompted mixed feelings. On the one hand, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors can save lives by providing an early warning of danger. On the other hand, many people may see them as an additional expense. It is worth remembering, however, that a smoke detector costs around PLN 60, while a carbon monoxide detector costs around PLN 100. The government is also considering subsidising detector purchases for people on low incomes and introducing tax relief for property owners who decide to install these devices before the deadline.

Making smoke and carbon monoxide detectors mandatory is a step towards improving safety. Regular inspections of chimney flues and gas installations, combined with the installation of detectors, can significantly reduce the risk of fires and carbon monoxide poisoning. It is therefore worth considering protecting your home now and ensuring greater safety for yourself and your loved ones.
