The store at 15 Gałczyńskiego Street (between the school and the church) was one of the first Biedronka stores in Bolesławiec. It opened in the second half of the 1990s. At that time, it was called “Biedronka – grocery discount store,” and few people understood the word “discount.” Today, everyone knows Biedronka.
The store will be permanently closed on January 1, 2025. The chain is offering customers who shop at this store discount cards entitling them to 30% off purchases of bread and fruit at three other stores in the chain throughout January.
For now, it is not known whether another store will open at this location. Residents of the Piastów housing estate can choose from larger stores such as Intermarche, Dino and the recently opened Stokrotka. There are also three Żabka stores.
