Christmas is a special and unique time when, filled with mutual kindness, we exchange good wishes and share the Christmas wafer. We recall smaller or greater achievements and the goals we set for ourselves at the beginning of the year and managed to accomplish. In this exceptional festive atmosphere, soldiers of the 23rd Artillery Regiment met on Tuesday morning for a soldiers’ Christmas Eve gathering.

The Christmas Eve gathering was opened with wishes for peace, joy and family warmth during the upcoming Christmas holiday by the commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, Col. Rafał Grzywiński:

I wish you a peaceful and healthy Christmas spent in a family atmosphere, and that the new year brings you satisfaction both in your professional work and personal life.

The commander also thanked everyone for the conscientious performance of their tasks and official duties during the past year.

After singing a carol, saying a prayer and having the Christmas Eve dishes blessed by chaplain Capt. Janczarek, the guests and soldiers “shared the Christmas wafer,” exchanging Christmas and New Year wishes. In keeping with Polish tradition, the participants ended the gathering by tasting Christmas Eve dishes to the accompaniment of Polish carols sung by Ms Dorota.
