Just three months ago, Mum was active. She took part in the life of our small community. She participated in cultural events, supporting the rural women’s association. For many years, she worked as a hospital ward attendant and assistant. She cared for elderly people who needed help at various stages of recovery. Suddenly, tragedy struck!
3 September 2024 is a date we will remember for a long time. Our family’s life changed irrevocably. Mum’s brain aneurysm ruptured, causing extensive damage. To enable specialists to help her, they had to remove part of her skull. They fought with all their strength to save her life! Fortunately, they succeeded.
Mum is currently struggling with left-sided paralysis. She is unable to speak and can only confirm an answer to a question by blinking. Her three-month hospital stay has taken a heavy toll. During that time, Mum was in a coma, had pneumonia and later also sepsis… And that is only the tip of the iceberg of the problems she had to face.
This situation showed us how fragile life can be. It made us realise how important health, love, family and friends are. We have never asked for help before, but Mum’s rehabilitation is an enormous expense that we cannot afford. That is why we are asking for your support with all our hearts. Every contribution, even the smallest one, matters!
