The main contractor for the project is Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowo-Usługowe "LARIX" Sp. z o.o., selected through a tender procedure. The project aims to improve road infrastructure, increase residents’ comfort and ensure the safety of road users. The works include modernising the road surface, constructing pavements, reinforcing verges, renovating existing driveways, building a new drainage system and installing horizontal and vertical road markings, which will improve the road’s functionality and durability.

Completion of the first stage
The works are being carried out in two stages, and the completion of the first stage on 22 November 2024 indicates the project’s progress. Completion of the entire project is planned for 15 September 2025, an ambitious but achievable target.
Educating children and promoting safety
Following the completion of the first stage of the project titled “Reconstruction of the municipal road – A. Mickiewicza Street in Nowogrodziec”, an information meeting was organised. It was attended by representatives of the subcontractor “Przedsiębiorstwo Konserwacji Urządzeń Wodnych i Melioracyjnych MELIOBUD Sp. z o.o.”, employees of the Municipal Office in Nowogrodziec and the Municipal Police, as well as children from the Public Preschool in Nowogrodziec. The meeting aimed to familiarise the children with the road construction process and educate them about safe road use.
During the event, the children learned what the process of planning and implementing road projects looks like. Municipal police officers explained in an accessible way the rules for safely crossing the road and the importance of wearing reflective elements.
Reflective items for children
To protect the safety of the youngest road users, each child received a reflective vest and reflective tape. This small but extremely important step will improve children’s visibility on the road, especially during the autumn and winter period, when darkness falls quickly.

Road safety is a priority for our municipality. Through educating children and carrying out projects such as the reconstruction of Adama Mickiewicza Street, we strive to create a space in which every road user feels comfortable and safe.
