The incident occurred on November 25 on national road no. 30 (the entrance to Lubań from the Zgorzelec side). The vehicle began leaking oil. Later, the engine compartment caught fire.
The driver stopped the vehicle and, together with other drivers, tried to put out the fire. The police and fire brigade also arrived at the scene.

Unfortunately, a delay in the flow of information through the Emergency Notification Centre in Wrocław meant that by the time firefighters arrived at the scene, the entire vehicle cab was already on fire.
The vehicle cab burned down. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire.
