15 November 2024  saw a ceremony held in Bolesławiec Market Square to mark the 43rd Military Economic Unit being named after its patron. By decision of the Minister of National Defence dated 2 September 2024, the 43rd Military Economic Unit was named after Maj. Gen. Klemens Stanisław Rudnicki.

The 43rd Military Economic Unit is a specialised stationary military unit that provides support and security services for military units and institutions stationed or temporarily present in its area of responsibility in peacetime, during crises and in wartime. The 43rd Military Economic Unit’s territorial area covers the following cities and counties: Bolesławiec, Żagań, Żary, Nowa Sól, Wschowa, Góra, Głogów, Polkowice, Lubin, Legnica County, the city of Legnica, Jawor, Złotoryja, Karkonosze, the city of Jelenia Góra, Lwówek Śląski, Lubań and Zgorzelec.

The ceremony was attended by Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman, who presented Colonel Edward Kosałka with a commemorative gorget.
