– Lower Silesian and Lubusz Customs and Tax Service officers and CBŚP police officers stopped a car transporter on the A18 motorway, near Olszyna, for inspection. It was travelling from Germany to Poland – explains Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS. – The driver was transporting passenger cars on the car transporter.

She adds: – After thoroughly searching the vehicle, officers discovered four carefully packaged parcels weighing 4.2 kg in the cockpit.

The truck driver was detained by CBŚP and, by court decision, remanded in custody for three months. He faces a sentence of between 3 and 20 years in prison.

KAS effectively combats the drug trade

The effective actions of the Lubusz and Lower Silesian KAS are producing tangible results. Since January 2024, officers have seized more than 434 kg of various drugs worth over PLN 157 million.
