This year, we invite you to the Lower Silesian Sports Centre Polana Jakuszycka for a new take on Independence Day celebrations. We would like to invite you to discover the wealth of the forest—a source of food.

We have invited the State Forests to join us with the “Good from the Forest” programme. It tells the story of how to benefit from the bounty of the forest, enriching our cuisine with products made from herbs, fruit, nuts, mushrooms and, finally, meat. For centuries, the forest was a source of food for our ancestors. Today, we can return to this while observing certain principles.

Therefore, you are warmly invited to Jakuszyce on November 11. We start at 11:00!

The culinary workshops will then begin, led by chefs who will show how to prepare food from the forest in an interesting way, using products that are not obvious choices today. Registration is required for the workshops and is handled by the Szklarska Poręba Forest District.

While some of you discover the culinary possibilities offered by the forest, we invite the others to take part in the activities we have prepared: a laser shooting range, a climbing wall, a running workout led by Robert Maćkowiak and, finally, the Interactive Sports Centre.

Furthermore, the Świeradów Forest District will present the Drewnolandia exhibition. Our bistro will offer red-and-white desserts at PLN 11 each. You can also use the swimming pool for PLN 11, provided you bring your own towel.

You are also warmly invited to DCS Polana Jakuszycka on November 12 at 16:00.

On that day, in the presence of the head of the GOPR main board, we will officially inaugurate the Karkonosze Mountain School. This is a new initiative aimed at education in mountain sports. At 18:00, a ceremony to present badges of the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly will take place. The ceremony will be held in the Izerska Hall on the second floor.

See you at Polana!
