Nowogrodziec Municipal Office:

We are pleased to announce that the Volunteer Fire Service in Wykroty will receive a new specialist rescue and firefighting vehicle.

The purchase, valued at PLN 1,167,270, will significantly increase the unit’s operational capabilities and contribute to even more effective protection for the residents of our municipality.

More about the vehicle

The new Renault vehicle was designed with difficult terrain in mind. It has all-wheel drive, providing excellent traction and stability. The vehicle also features a high approach angle and high ground clearance, allowing it to reach hard-to-access locations.

Equipment:

  • a 3,000-litre water tank and a foam concentrate tank;
  • a vehicle-mounted pump with a capacity of up to 2,800 l/min;
  • chassis sprinklers and a water-foam monitor mounted on the vehicle roof;
  • a retractable LED lighting mast over 5 metres high;
  • an electric winch with a pulling force of 9 tonnes;
  • space for rescue equipment, including generators, portable pumps and hydraulic tool sets.

The new vehicle, which will reach the firefighters at the turn of November and December, was financed with funds from:

  • the Municipality and Town of Nowogrodziec,
  • the Ministry of the Interior and Administration,
  • the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection in Wrocław,
  • the Volunteer Fire Service in Wykroty’s own funds.
