Beware of Scammers Posing as Officials!

As we read on the Gmina Nowogrodziec website:

Dear Residents,

We have recently received reports from residents of our Gmina about people posing as officials, who visit in order to calculate subsidies for replacing a furnace and try to enter homes to inspect the current heat source.

They also offer help with completing applications under the “Czyste Powietrze” programme.

The local authority warns:

There is a possibility that these people are obtaining various personal details from residents under false pretences!

It also emphasises:

We would like to emphasise that a service point for handling applications and providing consultations related to the “Czyste Powietrze” programme has been established at the Municipal Office in Nowogrodziec.

All activities related to completing documents and consultations are carried out only at the office, in room no. 3, during its opening hours, from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

And it concludes:

We appeal to all residents to exercise caution when dealing with people offering help with completing applications outside the office.
