I would like to ask the administrator of the county road in Kraszowice, through you, when it will be reopened to traffic. A month and a half has passed since the flood, and nothing is being done with the road. Residents of nearby localities are experiencing transport difficulties and have to travel many more kilometres to reach Bolesławiec or take their children to school in Ocice. Is it normal that for such a long period (...) no appropriate decision has been made regarding the road? Could a temporary road not be built alongside the damaged carriageway?

The matter was raised during the October session of the Bolesławiec County Council. Starosta Tomasz Gabrysiak informed councillors that the County had submitted six projects to the voivode, which could be carried out with government funding. On Thursday, 31 October, the day the aforementioned County Council session took place, a commission from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office examined on site the validity of two applications submitted by our office. The first concerned the road in Kraszowice, while the second concerned the bridge on Mostowa Street. (The latter structure requires maintenance).

Presenting a report on the actions undertaken during the period between sessions, the head of the Bolesławiec County Board emphasised that if the inspection by the DUW commission in question did not result in funding being granted, the County would rebuild the road in Kraszowice using its own funds.

Tomasz Gabrysiak added: – I hope that this year we will restore basic access on all the roads that were destroyed. This also concerns the road in Trzebień and the one between Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka and Krępnica.

At the end of the session, the starosta informed the council that the commission appointed by the voivode had confirmed the validity of the two applications submitted by Bolesławiec County.
