Robbery at Biedronka and a Chase After the Thief. The Aggressor Assaulted a Security Guard

The incident took place on Saturday, after 4:00 p.m., in Lubań. A man already known to the staff entered a Biedronka store. As reported by eluban.pl:

It was clear from the beginning that he did not intend to pay for his shopping, so the store security guard watched the thief and prepared to stop him at the exit if necessary.

And adds:

However, the thief demonstrated not only cunning but also speed. He filled a shopping cart to capacity (the value of the cart was estimated at PLN 1,500) and charged out of the store, colliding and tussling with the security guard, then abandoned the cart and began fleeing across a busy intersection.

The security employee caught up with the thief. And then… another scuffle broke out. Passers-by helped the former subdue the aggressor, but, as the Lubań-based outlet emphasizes, “the security guard was assaulted.”

The perpetrator was detained by the police.
