Let us recall. A reader contacted the istotne.pl editorial office and wrote in an email:

This is what the railway sleepers look like. Railway line no. 283, Lwówek Śląski–Zebrzydowa, in the village of Gościszów. Km 44.100, over a distance of approximately 300 metres. It is only a matter of time before a gravel train derails there.

We contacted the institution responsible for the aforementioned railway line with a query about the matter. Below is the response we received:

(...) The condition of the railway line on the Zebrzydowa–Rakowice Wielkie section is monitored on an ongoing basis. We are currently carrying out temporary works on the route in Gościszów to maintain the scheduled train speed. We recognise the need to replace nearly 400 sleepers and are planning this work for 2026.
