On one side of Spokojna Street in Bolesławiec, drivers park their cars. They are usually people who come to the allotment gardens and leave their cars on this street. The parked cars obstruct traffic for other drivers. This happens especially in the afternoon, when traffic is heaviest.

There are situations in which drivers travelling from Piastów Street are forced to brake suddenly to avoid a collision with vehicles coming from Kosiby Street and passing the parked cars. Those travelling from Kosiby Street often force their way through, failing to give way.

This is troublesome and creates a hazard. Can it be prevented? One solution could be to change the traffic arrangements on this section, for example by making the section of Spokojna Street from Kosiby Street to Piastów Street a one-way road. Parking spaces could additionally be designated on one side of the street.

Drivers could then continue to park their cars as they do now, and situations involving failure to yield would no longer occur. On the other hand, this would increase traffic on Spółdzielcza Street, which, given the growing number of cars today and the poor connection between the two large housing estates, is also not insignificant.
