Fallen trees blocked roads, and a power line was torn down in Stare Jaroszowice. Since 9:00 a.m., firefighters have been dispatched to numerous locations throughout the county.
In Bolesławiec, a fallen tree in the park on Zygmunta Augusta Street posed a danger to pedestrians and vehicles. In Rakowice, the road was impassable because a fallen tree damaged fences.
Further reports concerned trees on roads, including an incident between Nowa Kuźnia and Modła and another on Jeleniogórska Street, where branches obstructed traffic. Several wind-related incidents also occurred on Route 297 toward Nowe Jaroszowice, including a trailer bearing an advertisement that overturned in Bolesławiec.
In response to the damage, firefighters are taking action at numerous locations, removing dangerous elements and securing threatened areas. Serious damage was also reported on the motorway, where a tree fell at kilometre 58. In addition, fragments of a tree obstructed the road at the intersection in Suszki and between Osiecznica and Przejęsław.
There were major disruptions on the Bolesławiec–Krzyżowa road due to fallen trees. In particular, two trees were removed on the Tomaszów–Krzyżowa section. The work was carried out together with the Tomaszów Volunteer Fire Service (OSP), which also aimed to remove approximately three to four trees in its own municipality.
