On September 26, the Lower Silesian Athletics Final of the Licealiad took place in Lubin. More than 700 students from Lower Silesian secondary schools competed. The “Elektronik” team could not be missing, having stood on the podium at provincial-level athletics competitions for several years now.
Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych was represented in Thursday’s competition by:
- Szymon Buczkowski – 100 m
- Jakub Foremny – 200 m
- Fabian Gałka – 1500 m
- Natan Gródecki – javelin throw
- Bartosz Korba – 100 m
- Gabriel Kurek – 400 m
- Pietro Laudani – javelin throw
- Olgierd Lichnerowicz – 3000 m
- Szymon Luberda – high jump
- Bartosz Maćkowiak – shot put
- Norbert Medyk – 800 m
- Kornel Nitko – long jump
- Mateusz Nowiński – 200 m
- Adrian Podziewski – 1500 m
- Wojciech Solawa – shot put
Ultimately, the team finished in second place and won the title of Lower Silesian vice-champions.
The team’s cornerstone, Jakub Foremny, did not disappoint, securing a convincing victory in the 200 m race. The 4×100 m relay team, consisting of Bartosz Korba, Szymon Buczkowski, Kornel Nitko and Jakub Foremny, also made an excellent start and proved unbeatable. Kornel Nitko provided a pleasant surprise, finishing third in the long jump. It is worth emphasizing that all the representatives finished in scoring positions and contributed to the team’s eventual success.
