Fast and safe
Poor road conditions, parking problems, rising fuel prices, and the overall cost of maintaining a car mean that traveling by train is currently one of the most cost-effective forms of transport, additionally giving us valuable time. Trains do not get stuck in traffic and, despite traveling at high speed, are considerably safer than cars. “Sprinters” are operated using ETCS (European Train Control System), which provides both in-cab signaling and monitoring of the driver’s work. The system communicates with trackside equipment, so current information is visible on the dashboard, such as how fast the train can travel on a given section of track. This is invaluable assistance, as “Sprinters” can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h! The ETCS system guarantees a fast and safe journey.
An interesting fact is that over the course of our lives, we spend an average of 3 years and 11 months in a car. Most of that time is spent behind the wheel. Given the attention and concentration required of a driver, the role allows no compromises, which ultimately means that time spent commuting is, in a way, time wasted. Get it back—plan your journey by “Sprinter”. We’ll make sure you reach your destination quickly, comfortably and safely, while you… take care of the rest!
On the train, I have time for:
- Reading—books, magazines, e-books—everything we usually lack a free moment for during the day. A new book by your favorite writer? Go ahead, you have time for it while traveling!
- Learning—use your travel time to gain knowledge and improve your qualifications. In addition, on the train you can be sure that household noise and everyday responsibilities will not distract you.
- Work—reply to overdue emails, review the presentation you are due to give, and practice your speech. Research conducted by scientists from University College London showed that people who prepare for the day ahead on their way to work, and then distance themselves from work responsibilities on the journey home, experience considerably less stress and become more productive.
- Rest—relax and watch the landscape change outside the window. Do you remember how much joy this brought you as a child? We assure you—it doesn’t go away with age!
The picturesque landscapes of Lower Silesia are best admired from a train window.
