The incident occurred in Trzebień (Bolesławiec County) on Tuesday afternoon. According to a reader, American soldiers tried to cross a bridge from the base, but everything was flooded. The men began to drown.
All emergency services were dispatched to the scene, namely an ambulance, the fire brigade and the police. Before all the services arrived, the soldiers had already been rescued—they had reportedly managed to get themselves ashore.
The rescuers and police officers took care of the Americans.
