Readers drew our attention to the matter. A stage has been stored at Piłsudskiego Square for almost a month. It will most likely be used on 14 September during Dzień Kresowiaka. Does this, however, entitle the stage’s owner to keep it for so long in several paid parking spaces? In addition, the stage also takes up part of the lane used by cars moving around the car park, causing additional inconvenience for customers parking there.
According to the information we have, the stage is a recent acquisition of the cultural centre, while its storage, transport and assembly are costly and labour-intensive. This may also be why the stage was left in the car park “conveniently” for Kornel Filipowicz, so that it could remain there for almost a month until the next city event.
We asked the director of the cultural centre for details on 9 September and are awaiting a response.
