Matches between BKS Bolesławiec and Chrobry Nowogrodziec always attract large numbers of fans. Sunday, September 8, was no different. It is worth noting that Chrobry are coached by a figure very well known in Bolesławiec, former BKS coach – Sebastian Tylutki.

The derby match in Nowogrodziec began at 2:00 p.m. BKS had the advantage in the first half. The players of Radosław Szajwaj controlled the ball better and dictated the play, but they lacked effective finishing of the chances they created.

BKS opened the scoring. In the 41st minute, Roberto Gomes Dos Santos Junior took advantage of a loose ball in the penalty area, making it 1–0 for the team from Bolesławiec. Just before halftime, Chrobry’s players benefited from an unsuccessful pass by a defender to the BKS goalkeeper. Dorian Latała reached the ball, and both teams went into the break with the score at 1–1.

During the break, football merchandise was raffled on the pitch, and a shirt from an auction was handed over. The Nowogrodziec club was raising money for the rehabilitation of two players. During earlier matches, Bartek Kojder and Jakub Różnicki suffered serious injuries.

Returning to the match, BKS took the lead again in the 57th minute. Filip Zagórski scored with a shot from a tight angle. Filip Zagórski. Chrobry, however, had no intention of giving up. The players from Nowogrodziec attacked more frequently and dangerously. Following one of their moves, in the 70th minute, the referee awarded the hosts a free kick. Kacper Hałdaś confidently converted the set piece from around 17 metres, Kacper Hałdaś and with a precise shot into the proverbial top corner brought the score level.

There were no more goals in the match, but the hosts came closer to tipping the balance of victory in their favour. Especially right at the end, when, amid a scramble in front of goal, BKS players twice cleared the ball as it headed towards the net.
