A military outdoor event is taking place in Dobra, near Bolesławiec. Everything has been organized on and around the football field. From 11:00 a.m., the 8th Commando Cross “Race for the Brown Bear Trophy” was held. Spectacular demonstrations began at 1:00 p.m.
The strong wind was an obstacle, but despite this, spectators were able to watch parachute jumps from a helicopter. The demonstration of a Belgian Shepherd combat dog’s training also attracted considerable interest. There was also a combat display and a Polish-American basketball game.
Stands were set up around the field where visitors could view and try on the equipment and gear used by commandos. The stands featured modern and historical weapons, military textiles, souvenirs of the 62nd Special Company “Commando”, which was once stationed in Bolesławiec, as well as Polish and American military equipment. The Military Festival ended at 5:00 p.m.
