Earlier, on 19 August, Linus Lewandowski submitted a complaint in this matter to the Mayor of Bolesławiec and the Director of BOK-MCC:

Dear Mr Mayor,
Dear Mr Director,

I am submitting a complaint concerning gross negligence regarding protection of the ceramic parade during the Ceramic Festival.

During our procession – as a registered group participating in the parade – we were attacked by a group of FC Bolesławiec hooligans. They set off flares, insulted us and threw bottles in our direction. Our health and lives were at risk. One of the bottles landed very close to a child who was standing nearby in the crowd of spectators.

This incident met with NO reaction whatsoever from security or the police. This is unprecedented; even at the famous Equality March in Białystok – where we were also attacked by Nazis – the police at least tried to respond, as much as they were able to with an absolutely insufficient number of officers.

I demand an explanation of the reasons for the negligence, clarification of why the aggressors were allowed onto the parade grounds, and appropriate steps to ensure that such a thing never happens again. I also expect an official apology.

Yours sincerely,
Linus Lewandowski (he/him)
board member of the Homokomando association

Below, we present a photograph showing how Kornel Filipowicz, director of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre, invites the group carrying rainbow flags and a banner and indicates a place for them to stand beneath the stage where the opening ceremony of the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival was held. The banner, which later obstructed Mayor Piotr Roman, bore the slogan “We are all made of the same clay!”.
