– On August 16, 2024, at around 5:20 p.m., the duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica received information about an aggressive man who was allegedly attacking people on Roosevelta Street in Legnica – said Commissioner Jagoda Ekiert, press officer for the Legnica police. – At the scene, police determined that the highly agitated man had opened the door of a moving Nissan. He then forced his way inside the vehicle, where he sat with his body on a girl who was in the back seat.
When the minor's father intervened, the aggressor ran out of the car and approached two random women. He began beating them all over their bodies. At one point, he knocked both of them to the ground; he also tried to snatch one of their handbags.
Spokeswoman: – Fortunately, passers-by reacted appropriately. They did not remain indifferent to the women's plight, successfully subdued the aggressor and called a police patrol.
The 25- and 48-year-old women were transported to hospital because of the injuries they had sustained. The man, meanwhile, was taken to a police cell.

The evidence gathered by police enabled the prosecutor to bring charges against the detainee of robbery, causing bodily harm and violating bodily integrity. The offences carry a penalty of up to 12 years in prison.
At the request of the police and the prosecutor's office, the court temporarily detained the attacker for three months.
