On Friday, a Reader wrote to us: “This is how the road on Ogrodowa Street in Gromadka is being built… The road has been dug up since March and was supposed to be open for use by 15 June 2024.”
He added sarcastically: “It is important that the information board has been installed solidly.”
Tomasz Matyjewicz, Secretary of Gromadka Municipality, explains:
In 2024, Gromadka Municipality is putting into use a total of 17 road sections of varying lengths, construction values and acceptance deadlines.
Due to additional works, for which additional external funding was obtained, involving the construction of a pavement along part of the road and the reconstruction of the intersection (construction and illumination of a pedestrian crossing), worth approximately PLN 109,000, the completion date for the project Construction of the Road on Ogrodowa Street in Gromadka was set for 2 September 2024.
It further explains: – The obligation to install an information board results from the requirements of the funding obtained under the Polish Deal Strategic Investment Programme.
