Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn identified a person who used someone else’s card in shops a dozen times. The man was detained and explained that he had hidden the found card linked to a woman’s details. He then took advantage of having the payment card and, at short intervals, used it 15 times to pay for his purchases at various retail outlets.

The 39-year-old from Bolesławiec will face charges for breaking into the victim’s bank account and stealing more than PLN 400. Theft with burglary carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. If anyone notices that their payment card is missing, it is advisable to block it with the bank so that no unauthorised person can use it.
