In July 2024, our editorial office began receiving messages with an attached video that was most often described as scandalous.
In the video, a man wearing a hat says, “Loving people, be exceptional this year!” Then the naked man drinks from a stamped ceramic cup and smiles at the camera. When the camera moves from the man’s face to his crotch, it becomes clear that he is having intercourse with a naked woman who is bent over and leaning against a piece of furniture. Later, the man adds: “Get married in clay.”
The video has been circulating for almost a month. It may already be on the phones of a thousand people, if not more. The video looks as though it was made to be distributed. It is in the format of a video uploaded to TikTok or Instagram. It has been edited and soundtracked, with a sound accompanying the movement of the man’s hips. The video is part of an advertisement for a Bolesławiec event held during the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival and an invitation for so-called swingers to participate in it.
Swingers are people in committed relationships who have sex with other couples. Married people choose swinging in order to add a little spice to their intimate lives. Swingers argue that, contrary to common opinion and aversion, participating in an orgy with one’s husband or wife strengthens the bond between partners and demonstrates their boundless trust in each other.
It seems to us that the video was probably not intended for public presentation and simply leaked beyond a strictly limited circle of people.
We sent an inquiry to the City Hall asking how Piotr Roman, the president of Bolesławiec, who had already seen the video several weeks earlier, viewed such an advertisement for a city-funded event.
“The City President will not comment on the matter,” deputy mayor Robert Rzepnicki replied.
Almost four weeks ago, we also sent an inquiry to the event organizers, one of whom is the man visible in the video. We asked them to comment on the matter. The organizers did not respond.
