The incident took place on Thursday, July 18, near the town of Świętoszów. As established by the Bolesławiec police:
A 63-year-old resident of Osiecznica Municipality, driving a passenger car, for reasons not yet established crossed into the opposite lane and caused a head-on collision with a US Army vehicle carrying two soldiers.
She added: – As a result of the incident, only the perpetrator of the road accident was injured; he was taken by a Polish Medical Air Rescue helicopter to a hospital in Zielona Góra.
The uniformed officers are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
