The whole story began in the Warta Bolesławiecka commune. There, traffic police wanted to check a vehicle driven by a 39-year-old man. Knowing that he was wanted, he drove away and began fleeing.

– He ignored the visual and audible signals because he wanted to avoid a police check – explains asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.

At one point, the pursued man abandoned the vehicle and continued fleeing on foot. The spokeswoman: – The resident of Środa County was detained. After checking the person in police systems, the reason for the driver’s behavior quickly became clear. The 39-year-old was wanted under three arrest warrants by courts in Jelenia Góra and Lwówek Śląski in connection with convictions for burglaries, violating court bans and ignoring a decision revoking his driving privileges. In total, for his previous offenses, the detainee is to serve a prison sentence of more than three years.

What is more, the man was driving despite three active court bans and a decision revoking his driving privileges, and he had drugs with him.

Before the 39-year-old was taken to prison, he was charged with offenses committed in Bolesławiec County: failing to stop for a check, violating a court ban on driving all types of vehicles, and possessing narcotic substances, for which he faces up to five years in prison.
