Following information from a reader that drinking water in Warta Bolesławiecka might contain Escherichia coli bacteria, we called the president of the Municipal Services Company in Lubków. He assured us that the latest water tests (reports dated July 7, 2024) unequivocally show that the water in the public water-supply system is clean, tasty and fit for consumption.
“At around 3:00 p.m., a rumor broke out. We have an idea who it might be. Honestly, I don’t know what else I can do besides showing the test results,” said Radosław Palczewski.
Official statement of the Management Board of the Municipal Services Company in Lubków
Referring to today’s conversation concerning information received by the editorial office about the poor quality of water in the public water-supply system in Warta Bolesławiecka, I would like to present the position of our company’s Management Board. We do not know why such rumors are being spread, but I assure you that our water is of very good quality. As part of our internal quality system, we regularly conduct microbiological tests of the water. The tests are performed for us by one of the best laboratories in Poland, with an international reputation.
The water-treatment systems installed at our water intakes are subject to continuous supervision, while all water-treatment segments operate reliably.
Since I took on the role of President of the Management Board of the Municipal Services Company in Lubków, we have been one of the few water-supply companies to officially publish water-quality test results on our website. The latest water tests (reports dated July 7, 2024) unequivocally show that the water in the public water-supply system is clean, tasty and fit for consumption. The latest water-quality reports are available at www.zgk.lubkow.pl under the “Water Testing” tab.
For the sake of accuracy, I would add that during modernization work on the water-supply network, the quality of the water may temporarily deteriorate, for example as a result of mineral deposits being dislodged from the pipes. This is, however, a natural and temporary occurrence preceded by a temporary interruption in water supplies. We inform you in advance of every such event through announcements and information on our website. Deposits may also be dislodged as a result of the illegal use of a fire hydrant, for example in connection with water theft, which we have no control over.
If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them. Please contact us or visit the “Water Testing” section of our website. Let’s not be misled by rumors!
