A highly unusual police intervention took place at night in one of Głogów’s discount grocery stores, where an agitated man decided to climb onto one of the store shelves.

– The officers who arrived at the scene recognized the 32-year-old resident of Głogów. The man had repeatedly committed criminal acts involving the theft of property in the past – reports Junior Constable Paweł Noga from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.

He added: – The agitated 32-year-old was sitting on one of the store shelves and, despite the officers’ commands, had no intention of climbing down. At one point, the resident of Głogów began throwing merchandise from the shelves, directing some of it toward the police officers.

The situation was not easy, but after a moment the officers’ decisive action led to the aggressor’s arrest. The spokesperson:

He was handcuffed and set off on the rest of his journey accompanied by uniformed officers.

The man will now face charges for assaulting officers and damaging property. Junior Constable P. Noga: – The situation described shows how dangerous and unpredictable police service can be. No two days and no two shifts are the same. Officers must always be prepared for various behaviors and conditions, which often change during an intervention.
