Everything began on Friday, after 6:00 p.m. The storm first appeared over the southern part of Bolesławiec County and later over Bolesławiec. Strong wind gusts were accompanied by intense rainfall, locally turning to hail, as well as lightning.

The windstorm broke trees and brought down power lines. Firefighters are removing trees and branches from roads, including in the municipalities of Gmina Bolesławiec (around Łaziska, Stare Jaroszowice, Kraśnik Dolny and Lipiany) and Gmina Osiecznica. Energy workers will repair the downed lines.

More storms are heading toward Bolesławiec

Further storms can be seen on weather radars. They are expected to reach Bolesławiec around 11:00 p.m. and later, after midnight. However, everything indicates that they will be significantly weaker than the storm we experienced after 6:00 p.m.
