On December 14, Kornel Filipowicz will take up the position of Piotr Roman’s second deputy. He will be responsible for civic and social affairs, as well as the city’s development and promotion. Wiesław Ogrodnik will continue serving as the mayor’s first deputy.

Filipowicz is 49 years old. He completed a master’s degree at the University of Wrocław in Polish philology, as well as postgraduate studies in Managing an Educational Institution in the New Structure of the Education System, a course in Education Organization and Management, and a professional development course in Professionalism in Managing the Lower Silesian Office. His professional achievements include obtaining EU funds, expanding the school’s modern facilities, and securing the following certificates: Safe School, School Supporting Talents, Interklasa Quality Mark, and Innovative School. He has also received awards from the Mayor of the City and the Lower Silesian Education Superintendent.
