On Veterans Day, a monument dedicated to those serving on missions outside the country was unveiled in Bolesławiec. The ceremony was attended by, among others, veterans, the municipal and county authorities, soldiers from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec, representatives of the fire service and police, a military orchestra from Żagań, and US Army soldiers.
The monument bears the inscription:
“In memory of Veterans of Operations Outside the Borders of the State, public officials, all uniformed services, representatives of the healthcare service, and volunteers from the Bolesławiec Garrison, carrying out tasks in difficult conditions under the auspices of NATO, the UN, the EU, and other organizations, including humanitarian ones. Honor and glory to the heroes!”
The unveiling of the monument was preceded by the Bolesławiec Veterans Motorcycle Rally.
