KD operated a connection to Świnoujście for the first time last year. The route was very popular throughout last summer, with more than 7,000 passengers using the service, travelling to the Polish seaside from places including Legnica and Wrocław. The same will be true this season.

KD Premium Nadmorski will run on weekends from June 22 to September 1, while additional services will operate on August 15—one train in each direction—providing an additional opportunity to spend the long weekend by the sea. Sales of tickets for seats are also beginning; they can be purchased for PLN 89 from Legnica, Lubin, Głogów or Zielona Góra, and PLN 99 from Wrocław.

Tickets with seat reservations will be available for purchase 30 days before travel in the Koleo app and at the carrier’s ticket offices, meaning that sales for the first services will begin later this week.

Importantly, the journey on this route will take only 5 hours and 13 minutes, and Koleje Dolnośląskie will operate it using a five-car Impuls 45WE train. This will make it the fastest connection between Wrocław and Świnoujście, with a journey time more than an hour shorter than that offered by the competing carrier. During the summer holidays, trains will depart from Wrocław Główny on Saturdays at 6:44 a.m., with the scheduled arrival in Świnoujście at 11:57 a.m. The return journey from the seaside to Lower Silesia will be possible on Sundays: departure from Świnoujście at 2:48 p.m., arrival at Wrocław Główny at 8:08 p.m.

“Last year’s service proved to be a success; we offered passengers a high standard and a fast journey time. Following the very positive reception, this year we decided to travel to the Baltic Sea again so that Lower Silesia residents could have a comfortable connection to the seaside, while residents of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship could reach Poland’s most beautiful region, Lower Silesia,” says Bartłomiej Rodak, spokesperson for Koleje Dolnośląskie.

KD Premium Nadmorski will call at the following stations: Wrocław Główny, Legnica, Lubin, Głogów, Zielona Góra Główna, Szczecin Dąbie, Międzyzdroje and Świnoujście.
