Despite the immediate response of the emergency services, which arrived at the scene of the accident, the passengers could not be saved. “Unfortunately, the 39-year-old driver and the 31-year-old woman died at the scene,” Kulka said. She also emphasized that the couple’s children, aged 6 and 10, were not in the car at the time of the accident and are safe.
Police and prosecutors continue to investigate the circumstances of the tragic incident. The car has already been recovered from the water. “The causes and circumstances of the tragic incident are being clarified,” the spokeswoman added.
