On May 8, 2024, a ceremony marking the 79th anniversary of the end of World War II was held in Bolesławiec.

Representatives of local governments, delegations from uniformed services, veterans’ organizations, associations and schools, scouts from the Szare Szeregi ZHP Troop in Bolesławiec, as well as the honor guard of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec and the “Bolesławiec” Municipal Brass Band gathered beneath the Polish Underground State Monument on Kubika Street.

Bolesławiec Municipal Office: – The main part of the National Victory Day observances was the reading of the roll call of remembrance and an honor volley fired by the honor guard of the 23rd Artillery Regiment. The ceremony was followed by participants laying wreaths beneath the Polish Underground State Monument. The event concluded with the singing of the Representative Song of the Polish Armed Forces.

The ceremony was organized by Bolesławiec County.
