The matter had been ongoing since 2022. According to an account presented by UKŻ Pirat Bolesławiec at the time, the club, unable to reach an agreement with the new owners of the Krępnica water reservoir, decided to leave and take its sailing equipment and containers from the base where it had operated.
Unfortunately, as Pirat reported, this did not happen without problems. The sailing equipment was taken away under police escort. The containers remained on site and were secured by officers. There was a dispute over the containers. The case was handled by the prosecutor’s office. UKŻ Pirat Bolesławiec commander Jakub Jakubowski announced that he would fight for the containers through legal proceedings.
On 22 April, the following information appeared on the Facebook profile of UKŻ Pirat :
532 days
That is how long it took to recover our equipment.
Thanks to the bailiff’s actions, we recovered the equipment belonging to the club (...)
Let us recall that since March 2023, the club has been using a new base in Jezierzany near Legnica. Pirat sailors can also be found at Berzdorfer See, right by the border with Germany, near Görlitz.
