MZGK sp. z o.o. is fulfilling the obligation arising from the Electromobility Act.

– Our Company's environmentally friendly development direction prompted us to purchase an electric Volvo garbage truck – says the president of MZGK. – Such a vehicle on the roads of Bolesławiec will allow us to reduce air pollution emissions and ensure quiet waste collection from residents, even in the early morning hours. Because we have a photovoltaic installation, we will be able to charge the garbage truck with electricity generated by us – added Krzysztof Basiak.

On February 29, the electric garbage truck was presented at the Bolesławiec market square:

Electric garbage trucks are the future and an environmentally friendly, safe solution for residents. Clean energy from photovoltaics is fully used both to operate the offices and to charge vehicles. In June 2022, an electric garbage truck was tested at MZGK sp. z o.o. in Bolesławiec. We wrote about and presented this vehicle in the article: MZGK in Bolesławiec tests a Volvo electric garbage truck costing 2 million!

– The Company's latest investment was the construction of a photovoltaic installation, but to make it a comprehensive system, we purchased an electric delivery vehicle that we can charge using the energy generated, and now we are testing an electric Volvo garbage truck – MZGK president Krzysztof Basiak said about the investment and the test from two years ago.

The cost of purchasing the new garbage truck is PLN 2,200,000. The vehicle's power is 544 HP. The vehicle has an automatic transmission. The body capacity is 22 m³. The vehicle is zero-emission. The batteries have a capacity of 375 kWh. Fully charged batteries allow the vehicle to operate while driving for 300 km.
