The incident occurred on February 22, in the afternoon, on road no. 352, between Bogatynia and Sieniawka.

As reported by the Zgorzelec firefighters:
A passenger car left the roadway and hit a water-system valve, as a result of which the entire right side of the vehicle was torn away.
They added:
The injured person was handed over to the Emergency Medical Rescue Team that arrived at the scene.
The Zgorzelec County Police Headquarters reported on the incident:
Police officers in the county arrested six drivers who were subject to driving bans. One of them, driving a Nissan, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, hit a guardrail and left the road. As a result of the injuries he sustained, he was taken to hospital. But that was not the end of the 44-year-old man’s offences. Methamphetamine and a cartridge were found on him, while a revolver was found at his place of residence. He will now face the court for all the crimes he committed.
