Bolesławiec criminal investigators detained two men suspected of a series of property crimes as a result of operational activities. Our KPP:
Both are residents of a rural locality in the Warta Bolesławiecka commune, aged 23 and 36. The accomplices travelled to the crime scenes in a passenger car used by one of them.
At the beginning of February, 20 drones were stolen from one of the trailers in a large car park in Bolesławiec County, where truck drivers stop for a longer overnight rest. Officers:
In the suspect’s vehicle, officers found a drone originating from the crime, as well as various items used for break-ins. Further activities led to the location of utility rooms rented by the detainees, where 17 cartons containing drones and 11 rims, duvets, office chairs, cosmetics and car parts were secured.
And they add:
Additionally, a stolen refrigerator was secured near the site where the crimes had occurred; the perpetrators had not yet managed to transport it.
The method was similar each time: cutting the tarpaulin and stealing the goods. Police:
In total, property worth at least PLN 300,000 was recovered. It had been lost between 24 January and 6 February 2024.
And concludes:
The detainees were jointly charged with nine offences involving break-ins at trucks and the theft of drones, rims, floor panels and 3,000 litres of fuel from the tanks of various vehicles.
The 36-year-old was aggressive at the time of his detention. After threatening a police officer with death, he attempted to influence the officer’s actions and was charged with that offence. As if that were not enough, he will also face charges for drug possession.
Breaking and entering carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. The older detainee, who is a repeat offender, could face up to 15 years behind bars. Police: – Officers are determining where some of the recovered items came from, and the investigation is ongoing.
