On February 3 at 4:00 a.m., a fatal road accident occurred at kilometer 92.5 of the A4 motorway, in which two people died. The driver of a Duster passenger vehicle, probably after falling asleep, hit a truck with a semitrailer that was standing on the emergency lane. A 66-year-old resident of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship and his 71-year-old wife died at the scene.
A forensic investigation team worked at the scene, carrying out an examination and securing evidence under the prosecutor’s supervision. Both the vehicle and the couple’s bodies were also secured for further examination.
Police officers, under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, are currently investigating the circumstances of this fatal incident.
Early Saturday morning, a passenger car collided with a truck on the A4 motorway toward Wrocław, between the Legnica Wschód and Legnickie Pole interchanges, the duty officer of the Lower Silesian branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways reported.
Two people died in the accident. The route is blocked, the duty officer said.
The tragedy occurred when the passenger car struck the back of the truck.
