On October 29, the results of the “Bolesławiec Yesterday and Today” photography competition were announced. The competition was organized by the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, the “Camera” Photographic Association, and collectors of postcards and historical items connected with the town and county. The jury (comprising: Janusz Moniatowicz, Grzegorz Matoryn, Jarosław Rutyna, Edward Miżdal and Anna Bober-Tubaj) decided to award 6 equal prizes. The recipients were: Maciej Czochara, Radosław Pawlus, Jerzy Paluszczyszyn, Magdalena Dudek, Joanna Turczyńska and Grzegorz Sidorowicz.

The standard of the entries was very high. As many as 34 entries (out of 76 submitted to the competition) met the requirements set out in the regulations. All photographs accepted by the jury can be viewed at the Museum of Ceramics (Department of the History of the City at 14 Kutuzowa Street).

The exhibition of competition entries accompanies the exhibition “Old Views of Bolesławiec and the Surrounding Area,” presenting pre-war photographs and postcards from the private collections of collectors and enthusiasts of the town and region: Tadeusz Berestecki, Władysław Bojdys, Szczepan Chmielowiec, Andrzej Greszta, Edward Jawny, Andrzej Kaziuk, Piotr Nieratka, Andrzej Olejniczak, Romuald Piecek, Adrian Rajczakowski, Jarosław Rutyna as well as Dietmar Plate and Kurt Basler.
