Bolesławiec criminal investigators, as a result of intensive operational activities, determined the location where a vehicle originating from a crime was being kept. After entering the utility rooms rented by a 24-year-old, they found a BMW worth more than PLN 170,000 in the garage area. Further findings confirmed that the car had been stolen several hours earlier in Germany, near Magdeburg.
In another room, officers also secured narcotic substances in the form of marijuana and methamphetamine in a safe. The officers said: – In total, more than 600 saleable doses of these prohibited substances were placed in police custody, along with various items whose origin the tenant was unable to explain, including illegal software and a signal jammer.
Two 24-year-old residents of the Nowogrodziec municipality were arrested at the scene. Both were charged with handling stolen goods because they are suspected of helping to conceal a vehicle originating from a crime. Additionally, one of the men was charged with possessing narcotic substances and purchasing illegal vehicle diagnostic software for financial gain.
The detainees face up to 5 years in prison. The prosecutor placed the suspects under police supervision, banned them from leaving the country and prohibited them from contacting specified individuals.
