Officers from the Bolesławiec police unit detained a 28-year-old man suspected of committing a shoplifting offence. KPP:
The crime was recorded by CCTV. The perpetrator entered the shop, took three packages of perfume worth more than PLN 900 in total, and left.
Bolesławiec police officers knew the 28-year-old from previous thefts, so the camera footage was very helpful and allowed them to quickly identify the perpetrator.
The resident of the City of Ceramics admitted to the offence. He explained that he had sold the loot to random people. He added that he had had no trouble selling the illicit goods.
The detained Bolesławiec resident faces up to five years in prison. Officers:
We remind you that anyone who acquires an item obtained through a prohibited act or helps dispose of it commits an offence punishable by imprisonment of between three months and five years.
