The Christmas holidays are behind us, and they passed peacefully in Bolesławiec County. Over 3 days, officers carried out nearly 150 interventions, most of them on the first day of the holidays. A number of reports concerned disagreements among household members.
There were 8 collisions on the roads, and 2 drivers suspected of driving vehicles after consuming alcohol were arrested. On the first day of the holidays, a 41-year-old woman got behind the wheel and hit a fence while driving. On the second day of the holidays, a Bolesławiec resident caused a collision and then left the scene after abandoning his car. When the 38-year-old was arrested, officers could smell alcohol on him. Blood was taken from the offenders to confirm the suspicion that they had driven while intoxicated. In addition, the 38-year-old was subject to two active court-imposed driving bans issued by the courts in Bolesławiec and Lwówek Śląski.
Furthermore, during the holiday period, officers arrested 3 people, including a Wrocław resident wanted by the Szczecin court under an arrest warrant; the 30-year-old was sent to prison for nearly 2 years. In addition, officers from Kruszyn arrested the perpetrator of property damage worth nearly 3,000 zlotys. The suspect was charged and pleaded guilty. Meanwhile, detectives from the Bolesławiec unit arrested two men suspected of breaking into a garage and attempting to steal.
