During the journey, Joanna Lamparska – a journalist, writer and expert on Lower Silesia – will talk about the monuments, attractions and secrets of the route and its surroundings. This unique event is not to be missed by lovers of Lower Silesia and history, or by all railway enthusiasts! The 52-kilometre route includes, among other things: 9 steel bridges, 45 viaducts and 3 tunnels, including the tunnel under Mały Wołowiec, considered the longest structure of its kind in Poland.

No special admission tickets are required for the event – your participation is guaranteed by the railway tickets you purchase for this journey. Choose the offer that best suits your travel plans and join us this Saturday! Please remember that there is no KD ticket office at Wałbrzych Główny station, so you can buy tickets from the conductor or train manager without an additional charge, as well as from a KD ticket machine or online.

Photography competition – win training on a railway vehicle simulator

We encourage all participants to take photographs and capture the wonderful views outside the KD train window on Saturday. Why? Because there is a competition waiting for you!

We are waiting for your most beautiful photographs from route 286 from Wałbrzych to Kłodzko. Send them to biuletyn@kolejedolnoslaskie.eu with “Competition” in the email subject line. Please note that the photograph must include elements of railway infrastructure! Photos may be submitted from 25 November to 3 December. The results will be announced on our website on 8 December. A jury will select the winners from among the authors of the submitted works – one winner and two honourable mentions. Gift sets are waiting for you! We can reveal that the author of the winning entry will receive, among other things, a voucher for one hour of training on a 45WE railway vehicle simulator at the KD Training Centre.
