Can you take up the issue of the renovation of the closed section of road in the Osła industrial zone? This is some kind of joke—taking so long to renovate 170 m of road. There is armageddon in the zone during rush hour; the entire zone is at a standstill, while very little seems to be happening at the renovation site. Today (November 29—editor’s note, istotne.pl) the signs had been knocked over, and I can see that, to make things easier, drivers are already using this section despite the ban.

They added:

I can compare it with the renovation of the road near Ostrow. Within a few days, they replaced the surface on a stretch of several kilometres, and now it is a beautiful drive. But here, in such an important location, they are putting on some kind of circus.

As the head of Gromadka Municipality emphasized in a conversation with us, the work concerns not a 170-metre section, but a longer one, over 400 metres. They added that when this road was built seven years ago, a proper foundation was not constructed there. (On the 170-metre section, the stabilization layer was 5–6 cm thick, whereas it should have been 15–25 cm.) This is also why the work has taken longer.

The head of the municipality noted that the company responsible for the project is carrying it out very efficiently and trying to complete it as soon as possible. They stated that Gromadka Municipality has no objections to the contractor.

The original deadline for completing the work was November 20. However, due to additional work, it was moved to November 28. Unfortunately, snow fell yesterday, and the weather conditions prevented the company from completing the project. The current final deadline is December 15.

The head of the municipality added that traffic has been opened in one direction. They assured us that both the local authorities and the contractor are doing everything possible to complete the road as soon as possible.
