Officers of the Customs and Tax Service from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław detected the illegal import of plastics in various degrees of fragmentation from the Netherlands during an inspection on the A4 motorway.
– The recipient did not have a permit to process the materials and was unable to recover the plastics in accordance with the regulations – explains Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, press spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS. – The Voivodeship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection deemed the shipment an illegal movement of waste.
Officers of the Customs and Tax Service secured the trailer and its cargo for criminal proceedings. The recipient of the waste faces a fine of PLN 50,000 to PLN 500,000.
